Individuals Needed for Clinical Imaging Studies
We are seeking individuals age 60 and older with or without memory problems for research using Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) of the brain. The results of this research could have significant implications for clinical practice, research and education.
Below are reasons why subjects cannot participate:
- Pacemakers
- Claustrophobia
- Stroke
- Brain or neurological diseases

Gulf War Veterans
The San Francisco VA Medical Center is seeking volunteers for a study of Gulf War Veterans. If you were deployed in the Gulf War between 1990-1991, you may be eligible for our study. The overall goal of this project is to evaluate the neurological health of U.S. veterans who served in the Gulf War. This study will consist of a battery of tests, including; cognitive testing, MRI scans, and a general medical exam.

Alzheimer’s Disease Neuroimaging Initiative
The purpose of this study is to examine how brain imaging technology can be used with other tests to measure the progression of mild cognitive impairment (MCI) and early Alzheimer’s disease (AD). We are currently accepting healthy volunteers ages 55 to 90; as well as individuals with pre-clinical, early, and middle stages of Alzheimer’s disease.
