Assistant professor, staff and postdoctoral positions are available in the CIND based in San Francisco at the VA Medical Center and the University of California San Francisco. The CIND has 7 faculty members, a staff of over 50 individuals, over 5,000 sq feet of space, grant funding exceeding $5 million/yr and 3 MRI systems. This group is largely focused on developing and implementing advanced MRI and MR spectroscopic imaging techniques for investigation and diagnosis of neurodegenerative diseases including: Alzheimer's disease, other causes of dementia, normal aging, stroke, Parkinson's disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, alcoholism, substance abuse, Gulf War Illness, post traumatic stress disorder, and other neurological and psychiatric diseases.
